I got all of this until you added "emo" in there. How can you be cheerful and emo at the same time. Maybe if emo actually meant "emotional" but from what I see, emo people seem to lack emotion entirely. The don't care about feelings. Whether it's with themselves or other people.
Well...nothing definitive. Though I believe the actual unsullied definition of "emo" is one who is connected with their emotions, the majority of those described as such are black-garbed teenagers who enjoy being depressed for no good reason and taking selfies.
i figured the end of it would be something like "don't label me" or "i'm a lot of ME" or something like that. something meaningful or thought provoking, this one is nice too but it just seems lacking in my opinion. like it needs more explanation for it to really hit home.
That is a stereotype. Emo's are people who are usually very emotional and passionate about things (they don't usually show it though), and maybe antisocial due to bullying (maybe because not all but most are) and most emos DON'T cut. (One of my classmates in elementary school was emo. He didn't really talk much and didn't cut (HE WAS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD), so yeah... )
well i think in society now you don't really need to be ashamed of something like that. just like a man doesn't need to ashamed to be emotional, maybe to some that seems like a rude remark to make about a man but to others they're proud of who they are. "emo" doesn't necessarily mean they are a cutter, maybe they are just depressed or like dark depressing things. it's nothing to be hidden or ashamed of but a part of them that they embrace.
